50 hurt as BNP men, cops clash in Netrakona Star Online Report

At least 50 people including 10 policemen were injured as BNP activists clashed with law enforcers in Netrokona town on Sunday.

Police picked up a BNP activist from the spot, reports our Netrokona correspondent. Witnesses said police resisted local BNP leaders and activists when they tried to bring out a procession from Chotobazar around 11:00am. Police charged truncheon on the processionists when they pelted brick chips targeting the law enforcers, leaving 50 people injured. President of BNP Netrokona district unit Ashrafuddin Khan is among the injured.

A case was filed with Netrakona Sadar Police Station in this connection.
